LOCAL OWNERSHIP

The Wendy’s Bahamas Franchise is owned and proudly operated by brothers Chris and Terry Tsavoussis. Since 2005, this dynamic duo has revolutionized the business launching original store designs and trend setting concepts pioneered right here in The Bahamas.

Backed by a strong team of the country’s most talented professionals, the Tsavoussis brothers have expanded and diversified the Wendy’s brand from its first days in 1987.  Together the team has accomplished the opening of several new stores, added exciting menu offerings, and created additional job opportunities, while growing same store sales.

Constantly improving customer service, creating greater value, and reinvesting in making Wendy’s a modern and “cut above” experience in every way, for all who visit, remain strong priorities for Chris and Terry.

OUR HISTORY

First of all, yes, Wendy is a real person. And a pretty special one, being the daughter of our founder Dave Thomas. Today, she is one of the most involved and successful franchise owners in the Wendy’s enterprise. We think Dave would be proud. Back in 1969, he looked around at all other hamburger joints and was like, “Nah. People deserve better.” At the time, other quick-service restaurants were using frozen beef and mass-producing food. Not Dave. His approach of serving fresh, made-to-order hamburgers changed the game. And his can’t-stop-won’t-stop commitment to making customers happy drives everything we do today.

Dave Thomas opened the first Wendy’s restaurant with an unwavering commitment to serve fresh food, at a fair price, in a comfortable atmosphere. He founded Wendy’s on the premise that Quality Is Our Recipe®, and the quality our customers expect from every restaurant visit begins long before products and ingredients reach the kitchen.

More than 50 years later, we remain committed to the values Dave taught us, and we believe that doing the right thing – for our people, our customers and our planet – is the only responsible way to do business.

OUR CULTURE

Fair and Square

We started selling our famous square-shaped hamburgers 50 years ago. Ever since the beginning we’ve treated our employees in that same spirit: fair and square. It all comes down to our values. They don’t come from a rulebook. They come from everyone showing up to work as their real selves. We embrace everyone’s individuality. We have fun. And we turn out some pretty amazing hamburgers in the process.
