The R & M Junior Technician is responsible for completing maintenance and repair work assigned by dispatch, as well as the HVAC Manager and R & M Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Receive and respond to service calls from dispatch via email, Corrigo and telephone, in a timely manner.
- Repair and maintain kitchen equipment under the guidance and instruction of a senior technician and/or Manager.
- Assist with general maintenance of the restaurants as assigned by the R & M Manager (ie. pressure cleaning, steam cleaning, painting etc.)
- Perform preventative maintenance on kitchen smallware’s (tomato slicer, onion slicer, can opener, lettuce cutlet etc.) in accordance with a schedule provided by the R & M Manager’s Assistant.
- Assist with pizza oven cleanings as per the weekly schedule.
- Report chronic problems and recurring issues to management, as well as, any issues that are likely to affect store operations.
- Respond to after hour calls from dispatch to assist stores with emergency repairs or maintenance.
- Any other duties assigned by management
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be flexible and innovative to solve problems that may not follow a specific process.
- The ability to read and interpret operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- On-call required (weekends included)
- Minimum of one to two years of Restaurant experience.
- Be prepared to work extended hours
- Be prepared to work holidays
- Be prepared to purchase small hand tools to aid in performing assigned duties.
