IT Field Technician – Nassau

Job Summary:

The Field Technician works to provide solutions to operational problems that effect flow of business. As part of the team the Field Technician supports the lead technicians and engineers with mitigating, minimizing, and eliminating issues that impede operations; also supporting the implementation of new projects and technologies.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs routine installation, relocations, modification, or repairs of IT supported equipment (printers, PCs, POS terminals, Wi-Fi APs, routers, NVRs, and cameras)
  • Utilize ticketing system to record and track all day to day activities and steps to resolve problems
  • Provides appropriate levels of narrative information as required
  • Escalates serious issues to vendors or third part support
  • Responds daily to defined problems arising on PCs, printers, monitors, menu boards at restaurants and other systems
  • Operates diagnostic hardware and software as needed to determine and resolve problems
  • Consults with senior personnel for probable solutions
  • Loads and configures operating systems and software
  • Installs hardware or PC components
  • Documents all work performed such as utilization of items from inventory, if any hardware is moved around from one store location to the next, or if any changes are made in totality
  • Works a rotational weekend where on call support is provided for all store locations
  • Troubleshoots minor network issues as it pertains to cabling, terminations, and connectivity
  • Performs other IT related issues that may be requested that are in the scope of the possessed skillset
